FSM Navigator® (“we,” “us,” “our”) uses a small number of cookies that are essential for our Service to function properly. This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which cookies we use, and how you can manage them.

This policy should be read alongside our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your web browser when you visit a website. They serve various functions — from remembering your login session to storing your display preferences.

Cookies can be:

• Session cookies — Temporary cookies deleted when you close your browser
• Persistent cookies — Remain on your device for a set period or until manually deleted
• First-party cookies — Set by the website you’re visiting (fsmnavigator.com)
• Third-party cookies — Set by external services embedded in the page

FSM Navigator® uses a small number of first-party cookies and may include third-party cookies from services described below. The following table provides an overview:

These cookies are essential for the Service to function and cannot be disabled. Without them, you would not be able to log in, maintain your session, or access authenticated features.

We use two strictly necessary cookies:

• Application session cookie — This cookie keeps you logged in as you navigate the application. It contains only a randomly generated identifier; all session data is stored securely on our servers, never in the cookie itself. The session expires after a period of inactivity or when you explicitly log out.
• Portal session cookie — This cookie authenticates Customer Portal users. It enables customers to view invoices, track jobs, and manage their account within a secure, time-limited session.

Under privacy regulations including GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive, strictly necessary cookies are exempt from consent requirements because the Service cannot function without them.

Functional cookies enhance your experience by remembering preferences you’ve set.

• fsm_theme — Stores your preference for dark mode or light mode. If you disable this cookie, the application will default to your system’s color scheme preference on each visit.
• fsm_cookie_consent — Remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics cookies, so we don’t ask again on every page. It lasts one year. Your choice is also kept in your browser’s local storage.
• fsm_ref — Set when you open a referral link someone shared with you. It remembers which link you used for 30 days, so the business or person who referred you gets credit if you sign up. It holds only a reference to the link, not your name or email. We don’t set it if you reject optional cookies, and rejecting them later removes it.

These cookies do not track your behavior, does not contain personal data, and is not shared with third parties.

FSM Navigator® uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) on public-facing pages (marketing, legal, registration, and support pages) to understand how visitors interact with our website. GA4 collects anonymous, aggregated usage data such as page views, traffic sources, and general geographic regions. Google Analytics is NOT used on any authenticated pages (dashboards, customer portal, or internal application pages). Google Analytics cookies are only set after you accept them in our cookie banner. Until then, Google receives only basic, cookieless page-visit signals.

Google Analytics cookies:

Google Analytics data is used solely to improve our website and marketing content. We do not use it for advertising, behavioral profiling, or cross-site tracking. You can turn Google Analytics off at any time with the “Cookie Settings” link at the bottom of any public page. You can also opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. For more information, see Google’s Privacy Policy.

We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics on our public website to count page visits and measure page speed. Cloudflare states that it does not collect visitors’ personal data.

If your browser sends a Do Not Track (DNT) or Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, our public pages do not load Google Analytics or Cloudflare Web Analytics at all, even if you accepted analytics cookies.

Online booking pages. Our own Google Analytics does not run on the online booking pages that service companies publish through FSM Navigator®. A service company that runs its booking page on its own custom domain may add its own Google Analytics tag. That tag loads only after you choose to allow analytics in the banner on that booking page, and it does not load at all if your browser sends a DNT or GPC signal. Your choice is remembered in your browser for up to a year, and you can change it at any time from the link at the bottom of the booking page; turning analytics off removes the Google Analytics cookies that tag set. The service company, not FSM Navigator®, decides whether to use that tag and is responsible for the data it collects, so see that company’s own privacy notice for details.

FSM Navigator® uses Cloudflare Turnstile for bot protection on registration, login, and contact forms. Turnstile may set transient cookies from the challenges.cloudflare.com domain during the verification process.

Important: Cloudflare Turnstile is privacy-focused by design:

• It does NOT set tracking or advertising cookies
• It does NOT collect personal data for profiling
• Transient cookies are cleared after the challenge is complete

FSM Navigator® does NOT use:

• ❌ Third-party analytics other than Google Analytics 4 and Cloudflare Web Analytics
• ❌ Advertising or retargeting cookies
• ❌ Social media tracking cookies
• ❌ Cross-site tracking cookies
• ❌ Behavioral profiling cookies
• ❌ Any cookies that sell or share your data with third parties

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Here’s how to manage cookies in popular browsers:

When you first visit one of our public pages, a banner lets you accept or reject analytics cookies, or choose under “Cookie Settings.” Google Analytics cookies are not set unless you accept. Strictly necessary cookies (sign-in sessions) are always on because the Service can’t work without them. Privacy laws such as the GDPR, the ePrivacy Directive and the UK PECR exempt these cookies from consent. You can change your choice at any time with the “Cookie Settings” link at the bottom of any public page.

We do not sell personal information through cookies (CCPA/CPRA).

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, regulatory, or operational reasons. Material changes will be indicated by updating the “Effective Date” at the top of this page.
