Acceptable Use Policy
This Acceptable Use Policy outlines the rules and guidelines for using FSM Navigator. By accessing the Service, you agree to comply with these standards.
Table of Contents
1. Overview
FSM Navigator (“we,” “us,” “our”) provides cloud-based field service management software designed to help businesses streamline their operations, scheduling, dispatching, and customer management. This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) governs how you may use our platform and services.
This AUP applies to all users, administrators, technicians, and any person who accesses the Service in any capacity. It is your responsibility to ensure that all individuals using the Service under your account comply with this policy.
This policy supplements our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. In the event of a conflict between this AUP and the Terms of Service, the Terms of Service shall prevail.
“Service” means the FSM Navigator web application, mobile applications, APIs, and all associated services provided by CJD Technologies LLC.
2. Permitted Uses
The Service is intended for lawful business purposes related to field service management. Permitted uses include, but are not limited to:
- Managing field service operations, scheduling, and dispatching
- Creating, assigning, and tracking jobs and work orders
- Managing customer information, locations, and service history
- Generating and sending invoices; processing payments
- Communicating with team members via built-in chat
- Using the mobile application for field operations and offline sync
- Accessing APIs for authorized integrations (Enterprise plan)
- Generating reports and KPI dashboards for business analysis
3. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to engage in any of the following activities when using the Service. Violation of these prohibitions may result in suspension or termination of your account:
- Using the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent, or deceptive purpose
- Impersonating another person, company, or entity
- Uploading or transmitting malware, viruses, or harmful code
- Attempting to gain unauthorized access to other accounts, systems, or data
- Scraping, data mining, or automated extraction of Service content
- Selling, reselling, or sublicensing access to the Service without written authorization
- Using the Service to send unsolicited commercial messages (spam)
- Interfering with or disrupting the integrity or performance of the Service
- Circumventing security measures, access controls, or usage limits
- Reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling the Service
4. Prohibited Businesses and Activities
FSM Navigator is built for legitimate field service businesses. No matter how you use the Service — and whether or not you use our payment features — you may not use it to run, promote, or support any business or activity that is illegal, or that our payment provider, Stripe, treats as restricted or prohibited. This applies to every account and everyone who uses the platform.
Businesses and activities that are not allowed include, without limitation:
- Anything illegal under applicable federal, state, or local law
- Regulated or controlled substances, including certain cannabis and CBD products
- Adult content and adult services
- Gambling, betting, lotteries, and other games of chance
- Firearms, weapons, ammunition, and certain related accessories
- Counterfeit, stolen, or intellectual-property-infringing goods
- Multi-level marketing, pyramid schemes, and get-rich-quick offers
- Unlicensed money transmission or other unlicensed financial services
Because payments on FSM Navigator are handled by Stripe, you also agree to follow Stripe’s rules about the kinds of businesses it supports. Stripe keeps the current, complete list on its Restricted Businesses page, which we follow and which forms part of this policy. That list can change over time, so it is your responsibility to review it and confirm your business is permitted — before you sign up and for as long as you use the Service.
You are responsible for making sure your business qualifies. If we or Stripe determine that you operate a restricted or prohibited business, or that you are using the Service for a prohibited activity, we may suspend or close your account, decline or reverse payments, and report the matter to the appropriate authorities — at our discretion and without liability to you.
5. System and Network Abuse
The following system and network activities are strictly prohibited. These actions threaten the stability and security of the Service for all users:
- Conducting denial-of-service (DoS) attacks or distributing malicious traffic
- Introducing load that degrades the Service for other tenants
- Circumventing rate limits, API throttling, or other usage controls
- Probing, scanning, or testing the vulnerability of the Service without authorization
- Exploiting any Service vulnerability (report via our security contact instead)
If you discover a potential security vulnerability, we ask that you report it responsibly to [email protected] rather than attempting to exploit it.
6. Content Standards
All content uploaded to or created within the Service must comply with these standards:
- Must not contain illegal, defamatory, obscene, or threatening material
- Must not infringe on intellectual property rights of any third party. To report copyright infringement, see our DMCA Policy.
- Must not include malicious scripts, executable code, or unauthorized data payloads
- Customer data and personal information must be collected and uploaded in compliance with applicable privacy laws
- You are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of content you upload
We reserve the right to remove or disable access to any content that violates these standards, with or without prior notice.
7. Account Responsibilities
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. To maintain the security and integrity of the Service, you must:
- Maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials
- Enable multi-factor authentication (MFA) when required by your organization
- Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account
- Do not share login credentials between individuals — each user must have their own account
- Company administrators are responsible for managing user roles and access permissions appropriately
- Deactivate user accounts promptly when team members leave your organization
8. API and Integration Use
If your subscription plan includes access to the FSM Navigator Enterprise API or third-party integrations, the following rules apply:
- API access is governed by your subscription plan and API key terms
- API keys must be kept confidential and never exposed in client-side code
- Respect published rate limits; excessive calls may result in temporary throttling
- API integrations must not attempt to circumvent security controls or tenant isolation
- Automated processes must not create excessive load that impacts other users
- Refer to our API documentation for current endpoints, limits, and best practices
We reserve the right to revoke API keys or restrict API access for accounts that violate these guidelines or create a disproportionate load on the Service.
9. Enforcement and Consequences
We take violations of this Acceptable Use Policy seriously. In response to confirmed or suspected violations, we may take any of the following actions at our sole discretion:
- Issuing a written warning with a deadline to remediate
- Temporarily suspending access to the Service
- Permanently terminating account access
- Removing or disabling content that violates this policy
- Reporting illegal activity to appropriate law enforcement authorities
The severity of our response will be proportionate to the nature and impact of the violation. Critical security violations may result in immediate suspension without prior notice.
10. Reporting Violations
If you become aware of any violation of this Acceptable Use Policy, please report it promptly. We take all reports seriously and will investigate in a timely manner.
