We Build What Field Service Teams Actually Need

We're not a tech company guessing what plumbers and HVAC techs want. We've been in the field, dealt with the chaos, and built the software we wished existed.

Our Story

Born from the frustration of running a field service business on paper and prayers

FSM Navigator started the way most useful software does — someone got tired of duct-taping a workflow together. Our founders spent years in field service operations, managing technicians, juggling dispatch boards, and chasing down paper invoices that somehow always ended up in someone's truck.

The tools available fell into two buckets: overpriced platforms with year-long contracts and a six-month onboarding process, or bare-bones apps that couldn't handle anything beyond basic scheduling. Neither worked for a growing team that needed real dispatch, real invoicing, and real-time visibility into what was happening in the field.

So we built FSM Navigator. Not as a side project or a tech experiment — as the tool we needed to run our own operations. Every feature exists because someone on the team said, "I wish I had this last Tuesday when everything went sideways."

We started with scheduling and dispatch — the two things that caused the most headaches. Then came invoicing, because manually typing up invoices after a 12-hour day is nobody's idea of a good time. Then inventory, then a customer portal, then auto-assignment. Each feature was a direct response to a problem we either experienced ourselves or heard about from the companies using our software.

Today, FSM Navigator is built to serve field service companies across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other trades. But the principle hasn't changed: build what field service teams actually need, keep it affordable, and make it simple enough that a new tech can pick it up on day one.

2025

FSM Navigator is founded

Founded to close the gap between what field service teams need and what existing software actually delivers — without the sky-high costs of legacy platforms. Built by people who spent years doing dispatch and scheduling by hand.

2026

FSM Navigator launches

The full platform goes live — scheduling, dispatch, mobile apps, and invoicing — free for up to 5 users. The Pro tier adds auto-assignment, recurring jobs, performance dashboards, customer portal with online payments, QuickBooks integration, customer alerts, and offline mobile mode. The Enterprise tier adds inventory management, asset tracking, work order management, and REST API access for large operations.

Our Mission

Give every field service company the tools that used to be reserved for enterprises with six-figure software budgets.

A solo HVAC technician and a 50-person plumbing company both deserve intelligent scheduling, professional invoicing, and a dispatch system that doesn't require a PhD. We believe the size of your team shouldn't determine the quality of your tools. That's why our Free plan isn't a watered-down demo — it's a real product used by field service teams across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire protection, and more.

When you're ready to grow, we grow with you. Need auto-assignment? Upgrade. Need inventory management or a customer portal? It's there. But we'll never pressure you to pay for features you don't need yet.

Our Values

What we believe — and how we build

These aren't framed quotes on a wall. They're the decisions we make every sprint, every support ticket, every feature debate.

Built by Practitioners

Our team includes people who've dispatched techs, managed inventory in a warehouse, and chased down unpaid invoices. We don't build in a vacuum — we build from experience.

Security First

Customer data isn't an afterthought. Every piece of sensitive information is encrypted, every company's data is fully isolated, and we test our security constantly. Your trust is earned, not assumed.

Simple by Default

Every new feature has to pass a simple test: can a new dispatcher figure this out in under two minutes? If the answer is no, we redesign it. Complexity is easy — simplicity takes work.

Grow at Your Pace

Start free with 5 users. Add features when you need them. We'll never lock you into annual contracts or charge you for seats you're not using. Upgrade when it makes sense for your business, not our revenue targets.

Real Support, Real People

When you reach out, you talk to someone who understands field service — not a chatbot reading from a script. We've been on the other side of a support ticket, and we know what good help looks like.

Honest Product, Honest Pricing

No hidden fees. No surprise overages. No "contact us for pricing" games. Every plan is listed on our website with exactly what you get. What you see is what you pay.

Why Field Service

We focus on field service because it deserves better tools

Field service is one of the largest industries in the world, yet most companies still rely on whiteboards, spreadsheets, and phone calls to manage their operations. We think that's a problem worth solving — and solving well.

By focusing on field service specifically, we can make opinionated decisions about workflows, scheduling, and dispatch that generic project management tools can't. When your software understands the difference between an emergency call and a scheduled maintenance visit, everything works better.

  • Intelligent scheduling built for service windows, not generic calendar blocks
  • Dispatch that accounts for technician skills, location, and workload
  • Invoicing tied directly to completed jobs — no double entry
  • Offline-first mobile app because cell service isn't guaranteed in every basement
Security & Privacy

Your data is your data. Period.

We treat security the way your customers expect you to treat their homes — with care, professionalism, and zero shortcuts.

Encrypted Everything

All sensitive data is encrypted at rest and in transit. Customer names, addresses, phone numbers — all protected with bank-grade encryption, not stored in plain text.

Complete Data Isolation

Every company's data is fully separated from every other company's data. Your customers, invoices, and job history are invisible to anyone outside your organization. No shared pools, no cross-tenant access.

Role-Based Access

Owners, dispatchers, and technicians each see only what they need. A tech in the field sees their assigned jobs. A dispatcher sees the full board. You control who accesses what — down to the feature level.

Multi-Factor Authentication

Company owners can require MFA for every team member. It's built in — not a bolt-on — and can be enforced company-wide with grace periods for adoption.

Audit Trails

Every action is logged — who changed a job status, who updated an invoice, who logged in and when. You always have a clear record of what happened and who did it.

Frequently asked questions

Everything you want to know about the company and the product.

Is FSM Navigator free?
Yes! The Free plan supports up to 5 users with no credit card and no time limit. Paid plans (Pro and Enterprise) include a 14-day free trial — a payment method is required at signup, but you're not charged until the trial ends.
Where is my data stored?
Your data is stored in secure, encrypted databases. All sensitive information — customer names, phone numbers, addresses — is encrypted at rest and in transit. Each company's data is completely isolated from every other company on the platform.
Do you offer customer support?
Absolutely. All plans include email support. Pro and Enterprise customers get priority email support with faster response times. We also maintain a help center with step-by-step guides and walkthroughs for every feature.
Who is FSM Navigator built for?
FSM Navigator is built for field service companies of all sizes — from a solo HVAC technician running five jobs a week to a 50-person plumbing company managing hundreds. We serve HVAC, plumbing, electrical, managed print services, and more.
Can I try Pro or Enterprise features before paying?
Start on the Free plan and get comfortable with the basics. When you're ready, upgrade to Pro or Enterprise and get immediate access to every feature in that plan. If it's not the right fit, downgrade at the end of your billing period — no penalties, no hassle.
Does FSM Navigator work on phones and tablets?
Yes. We have a native mobile app for iOS and Android that works offline. Your technicians can view job details, capture photos, and log notes even without cell service. Everything syncs automatically when they're back online.
How is FSM Navigator different from spreadsheets or paper?
Spreadsheets can't dispatch jobs to techs in real time, track SLA deadlines, auto-generate invoices from completed work, or let customers check their job status online. FSM Navigator replaces all of that — scheduling, dispatch, invoicing, customer management — with a single platform your whole team can use from anywhere.
