Promo codes and sales

A promo code takes money off your FSM Navigator® subscription, or gives you free days when you sign up. A site-wide sale works without a code. This page covers where to enter a code, what you will see, and how long a discount lasts.

Every code and sale follows the Promotion terms.

Where to enter a code

When you create your account

The sign-up form has a Promo code (optional) field. If a link or an email gave you a code, the field may already be filled in. Leave it empty if you do not have one.

Once a code is in the field, a box appears asking you to accept the Promotion terms. Tick it to continue. You can still create your account without a code.

When you start a trial or subscribe

You must be an Owner to start a trial or subscribe. See Upgrading and downgrading for the full steps.

  1. Go to Settings → Subscriptions.
  2. Choose a plan and open the checkout window.
  3. In Promo code (optional), type your code and select Apply. Pressing Enter does the same.
  4. Tick the box to accept the Promotion terms. It appears once you type a code.
  5. Continue to checkout.

The code box also appears when you move from a trial to a paid plan. It does not appear when you pick the Free plan, or when you change plan on a subscription that is already active.

Capitals and spaces

Capital letters do not matter. Spaces and hyphens in the code are ignored.

What you see after you apply a code

The line under the box shows the result before you pay:

What you see What it means
Code YOURCODE applied: -$X.XX, you pay $Y.YY (amounts depend on the code, plan, billing cycle and users) The code is valid for the plan, billing cycle and number of users you chose. The price shown is what you pay.
That code cannot be used for this plan and billing cycle The code is expired, used up, meant for a different plan or cycle, or meant for new customers only.
Only one promotion can apply to a purchase You already have a discount on this purchase.
Promotions are not available right now Promotions are switched off for the moment.
Promo codes cannot be checked right now Try again in a few minutes.

Change the plan, billing cycle or number of users and the box checks the code again. The checkout makes the final check when you confirm, so the price you pay is always the one checkout shows.

Kinds of codes

  • Percent or amount off. Lowers the price of your subscription. Your invoice shows the discount.
  • Free days at sign-up. Starts your account on a paid plan for a set number of days with no card needed. It replaces the standard 14-day trial and uses it up, so you cannot start another free trial later. When the free days end, your account moves to the Free plan unless you subscribe. See Plans and pricing.
  • Message-only codes. Some codes do not change your price. They carry a short message that shows in your Promotions list.

Site-wide sales

When FSM Navigator runs a sale, the pricing page and the sign-up page show it, with the end date. A percentage sale shows the regular price crossed out beside the sale price.

You do not need to type anything. The sale is applied automatically when you choose a paid plan at checkout. If you also type a code, only one discount applies: whichever saves you more. The checkout tells you which one it used.

How long a discount lasts

Each code says how long its discount lasts. It is one of these:

  • your first invoice only
  • a set number of months
  • for as long as you stay on a plan the code covers

The terms are fixed when you first use a code. If the code expires or the sale ends later, your discount keeps going for the time you were promised. If you move to a plan or billing cycle the code does not cover, the discount does not apply to those invoices.

A promotion has no cash value and cannot be moved to another account.

See the promotions on your account

After you use a code or a sale, a Promotions section appears under your current plan on Settings → Subscriptions. It lists each code with its description and the amount it took off.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use two codes on one purchase?

No. Only one discount applies to a checkout. If a sale is running and you also enter a code, the one that saves you more is applied.

Can I combine a code with a referral discount?

No. A promotion cannot be combined with a referral discount.

Why does the code box say my code cannot be used?

A code can be limited to certain plans, billing cycles or new customers, and it can have an end date or a limited number of uses. Check with whoever gave you the code.

I made a mistake and signed up without my code. Can I add it later?

A code works at sign-up or at checkout. If you have already subscribed, contact support.
