Work order templates¶
Templates let you save a complete work order configuration — including all sub-jobs and dependencies — as a reusable blueprint.
Enterprise Plan Feature
Templates are available on the Enterprise plan.
Saving a template¶
- Open any work order from the Work Orders dashboard.
- In the work order detail panel, click the Settings tab.
- Click Save as Template.
- Enter a template name and optional category.
- Click Save.
The template captures:
- All sub-job definitions (names, types, estimated hours, order)
- All dependency relationships between sub-jobs
- Default priority and completion rule settings
Best practice
Save templates from well-tested work orders that represent your standard operating procedures. This ensures consistency across your team.
Creating from a template¶
- Navigate to Work Orders
- Click + From Template
- Select a template from the browser
- Customize the title, customer, location, and any overrides
- Click Create
The system creates a new work order in Draft status with all sub-jobs and dependencies cloned from the template. Sub-job IDs are remapped automatically so dependencies point to the new sub-jobs.
Managing templates¶
- List templates — view all saved templates with search and category filtering
- Deactivate — disable a template without deleting it
- Delete — soft-delete a template (can be restored by support)
