Company Information

Your company profile is the foundation of your FSM Navigator account. The information you set here appears on invoices, customer emails, and the mobile app — and your timezone controls how every date, time, and SLA timer is calculated across the platform.

Navigate to Settings → Company Information to manage your profile.

Owner access required

Only users with the Owner role can edit company information. See Roles and permissions for details.

Company name and display name

Field Purpose
Company name Your registered business name. Used on invoices and legal documents.
Display name A shorter or branded name shown in the navigation bar and mobile app.
  1. Open Settings → Company Information.
  2. Enter your Company name (e.g., Acme HVAC Services LLC).
  3. Optionally set a Display name (e.g., Acme HVAC).
  4. Click Save.

Keep the display name short

The display name appears in the sidebar and mobile header. Aim for 20 characters or fewer to avoid truncation on smaller screens.

Business address

Your business address is included on invoices and used as the default starting point for route calculations.

  1. Enter your Street address, City, State, and ZIP code.
  2. The address is automatically geocoded for routing purposes.
  3. Click Save.

Phone number and email

Field Where it appears
Business phone Invoice footer, customer notifications
Business email Invoice reply-to address, system notifications

Enter a phone number in standard format (e.g., (555) 123-4567) and a valid business email address, then click Save.

Timezone

Critical setting

Your timezone affects all scheduling, SLA timers, KPI reports, and date/time displays across FSM Navigator. Set this correctly before creating jobs.

FSM Navigator stores all timestamps in UTC internally but converts them to your configured timezone for display. This means:

  • Job scheduled times appear in your local timezone.
  • SLA countdowns calculate deadlines based on your timezone.
  • Reports and KPI dashboards group data by your local calendar day.
  • Recurring job schedules generate occurrences in your timezone.

Setting your timezone

  1. Open Settings → Company Information.
  2. Select your timezone from the Timezone dropdown (e.g., America/New_York, America/Chicago).
  3. Click Save.

Timezone impact example

If your timezone is set to America/New_York (Eastern Time), a job scheduled for 2:00 PM displays as 2:00 PM for your team — regardless of where a technician's phone is physically located.

When to change your timezone

  • You relocate your primary office to a different time zone.
  • You initially set the wrong timezone during registration.

Changing timezone mid-operation

Changing your timezone does not shift existing job scheduled times. Jobs already created keep their original UTC timestamps. Only the display of those times will change. Review upcoming schedules after any timezone change.

Business hours

Business hours define your company's standard operating window. They are used by:

  • SLA timers — to pause countdown outside business hours (if configured).
  • Auto-assignment — to match technician availability (Pro+).
  • Customer expectations — displayed on the customer portal (Pro).

Configuring business hours

  1. Open Settings → Company Information.
  2. For each day of the week, set the Open and Close times, or mark the day as Closed.
  3. Click Save.
Day Default
Monday–Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Saturday Closed
Sunday Closed

Holiday hours

Business hours apply to every week uniformly. For holiday closures, you can temporarily mark days as closed and revert after the holiday.
