Team Board

The Team Board is a visual collaboration view in the Jobs Dashboard that displays every technician as a vertical column with their active jobs as cards. Dispatchers and managers get an instant picture of technician workload, availability, and job progress — all on one screen.

Accessing the Team Board

  1. Open the Jobs Dashboard from the main navigation.
  2. Click the Team Board tab at the top of the page.

Management roles only

The Team Board tab is visible to Owner and Dispatcher roles. Technicians and other roles do not see this tab.

Board layout

The board scrolls horizontally so you can view as many technicians as your team has.

Column structure

Each technician gets their own column containing:

Element Description
Avatar / Initials Profile picture or initials badge
Name Technician's display name
Availability badge Color-coded status (see statuses below)
Job count Number of active jobs currently assigned

Job cards

Within each column, every assigned job appears as a card showing key details at a glance. Cards are stacked vertically under the technician header.

Use the controls at the top of the board to narrow the view.

  • Search bar — type a technician's name to filter columns in real time.
  • Status filter chips — toggle between All, Available, Busy, and Off-Duty to show only matching technicians.
  • Counters — the header displays the number of active technicians and total jobs across the board.

Tip

Combine the search bar with a status chip to quickly find a specific available technician during dispatch.

Technician availability statuses

The badge on each column header reflects the technician's current availability:

Status Color Meaning
Available Green Ready to receive new jobs
Busy Amber Currently working on a job
Wrap Up Purple Finishing current job
Lunch Indigo On scheduled break
Off-Duty Gray Shift has ended or not started
Vacation Gray On approved leave

Job card information

Each job card displays the following details:

Field Details
Job ID Unique identifier for the job
Job name Short description of the work
Customer Customer name associated with the job
Priority Color-coded badge — Urgent , High , Medium , Low
Status Pending , Assigned , In-Progress , In-Transit , Arrived , On-Hold
SLA timer Time remaining until the SLA deadline

SLA timer color coding

The SLA timer on each card changes color to indicate urgency:

Color Meaning
Green On track — plenty of time remaining
Orange Approaching deadline — action recommended
Red Overdue — SLA has been breached
Paused SLA timer is on hold (e.g., waiting on customer)

For more on SLA configuration and escalation, see SLA Timers.

Actions

View technician profile

Click a technician's name in the column header to open the profile slideout. The slideout shows:

  • Contact information and role
  • Skills and certifications
  • Performance metrics and job history

View job details

Click any job card to open the job details slideout. From there you can:

  • View the full job record (customer, location, notes, images)
  • Reassign the job to a different technician
  • Update the job status or priority

Auto-refresh

The board refreshes automatically at regular intervals so you always see up-to-date assignments and statuses. A manual Refresh button is also available in the toolbar.

Best practices

Morning dispatch routine

Open the Team Board at the start of each day to review who is available, check overnight job updates, and balance workloads before the team heads out.

Prioritize by SLA color

Scan for red and orange SLA timers first — these jobs need immediate attention to avoid breaches.

Availability syncs with scheduling

Technician availability statuses reflect the scheduling system. When a technician's shift ends or a vacation is approved, their status updates automatically on the board.

Frequently asked questions

How often does the board refresh?

The Team Board auto-refreshes periodically to keep assignments and statuses current. You can also click the Refresh button in the toolbar for an immediate update.

Can I reassign jobs from the board?

Yes. Click the job card to open the details slideout, then use the Reassign action to move the job to a different technician.

Why don't I see the Team Board tab?

The Team Board is available to management roles only — Owner and Dispatcher. If you have a Technician or other role, the tab is not shown. Contact your company administrator to adjust your permissions.

What does the SLA timer show?

The timer displays the time remaining until the SLA deadline. It is color-coded green (on track), orange (approaching), or red (overdue). If the SLA is paused — for example, while waiting on the customer — the timer shows Paused instead of a countdown.
