Job Images¶
Job images let your technicians attach photos directly to a job — capturing before-and-after conditions, documenting equipment issues, and providing proof of completed work. Images are available on Pro and Enterprise plans.
Pro feature
Job images require a Pro or Enterprise subscription. Compare plans to find the right fit for your team.
Why use job images¶
Photos eliminate ambiguity and protect your business:
- Before-and-after documentation — show the customer exactly what was done.
- Proof of work — reduce disputes by providing visual evidence of completed repairs.
- Issue identification — technicians can photograph problems they discover on-site for dispatcher review.
- Training and quality — managers can review photos to ensure work meets standards.
- Customer communication — images attached to a job are visible in the customer portal (Pro), giving customers full transparency.
Uploading images¶
Technicians and dispatchers can upload images from both the web dashboard and the mobile app.
From the web dashboard¶
- Open the job details page by clicking on a job from the list or Kanban board.
- Scroll to the Images section.
- Click Upload Image or drag and drop files into the upload area.
- The image appears immediately in the job's gallery.
From the mobile app¶
- Open the assigned job in the mobile app.
- Tap the Images tab.
- Tap Add Photo to choose from your device gallery or take a new photo with the camera.
- The image uploads automatically and syncs to the web dashboard.
Take photos on-site
Encourage technicians to photograph the work area before starting and after finishing every job. This habit builds a visual record that protects both your company and your customers.
Supported formats and limits¶
| Specification | Details |
|---|---|
| Supported formats | JPEG, PNG, WebP |
| Maximum file size | 10 MB per image |
| Pro plan limit | Up to 10 images per job |
| Enterprise plan limit | Up to 20 images per job |
File size limit
Images larger than 10 MB are rejected during upload. Most smartphone photos fall well within this limit, but high-resolution DSLR images may need to be resized first.
Viewing and downloading images¶
Image gallery¶
All images attached to a job appear in the Images section of the job details page. Click any thumbnail to open a full-size preview.
From the full-size preview, click the Download button to save the image to your device. This is useful for including photos in reports or sharing them with customers outside the platform.
Image metadata¶
Each uploaded image displays:
- Upload date and time — when the photo was added.
- Uploaded by — the team member who attached the image.
- File name — the original file name for reference.
Image limits by plan¶
The number of images you can upload per job depends on your subscription plan.
| Plan | Images per job | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Free | — | Job images are not available on the Free plan. |
| Pro | 10 | Sufficient for most standard service calls. |
| Enterprise | 20 | Ideal for complex multi-step jobs or compliance-heavy industries. |
Limit applies per job
The image limit is per individual job, not a company-wide total. Each new job starts with a fresh image quota.
Best practices¶
Standardize your photo process¶
Create a simple photo checklist for your technicians:
- Before work begins — photograph the job site, equipment model/serial plates, and any pre-existing damage.
- During work — capture key steps, especially anything that was hidden behind walls, panels, or covers.
- After completion — photograph the finished result and any cleaned-up work areas.
Use descriptive file names¶
While not required, renaming photos before upload (for example, furnace-filter-before.jpg) makes it easier to locate specific images later.
Review images regularly¶
Owners and dispatchers should periodically review uploaded images to ensure quality standards are being met and to identify technicians who may need additional training.
Frequently asked questions¶
Can I delete an uploaded image?
Yes. On the job details page, open the image preview and click Delete. Only the user who uploaded the image, or an Owner, can delete it. Deleted images cannot be recovered.
Can customers see job images?
On Pro plans and above, images attached to a job are visible through the customer portal. Customers can view but not delete images. On the Free plan, you can share images manually by downloading and sending them.
What happens when I reach the image limit?
When the maximum number of images for your plan has been reached, the upload button is disabled and a message indicates the limit. To add more images, delete an existing one or upgrade your plan.
Are images included when I export or print a job?
Job images are included in the job details view and can be downloaded individually. PDF job reports include image thumbnails with links to the full-size versions.
